hey this is Miami flip this is a tutorial video on how to make a paper fortune teller first what you want to do is you have you want to do an 8 by 11 sheet of paper or if you already have a square piece of paper but if you have an 8 by 11 piece of paper what you want to do is take the top corner and your the corners and fold it down so that the right side of it touches the bottom side of the piece of the paper and you can fold it on that line this doesn't have to be perfect because this is kind of a guidance tool and so what this does is it tells you that this rectangle piece of paper right here is not going to be needed to make the square so what I usually do is I fold it backwards so this piece of paper if holds right on the line of the triangle and when if you either fold it fine or backwards but when you get it you kind of look like this you open it it's kind of two triangles with a rectangle on the side but what you want to do is take the rectangle with your scissors or the some type of cutting tool cut the rectangle out this piece is no longer needed so you can throw it away if you want okay now let you have this square sheet of paper you're gonna fold it in half both ways this way and up and down or whatever get that crease and open it again and then fold it down to up or up to down and whatever and once you have it you should have a paper with like a plus and a diagonal line going down Matt once you have this take any of the clients and fold them about half a centimeter away from the very center spot so there is a center hole got them do the same for the rest once you've done that you should have a paper that looks similar to mine it should have four flaps making an X sort of shape once you have this flip the paper over to the side that has nothing on it you just see an X with the line going down no flaps you take any of the corners it in and fold it to the middle about half a centimeter away just if you did with the other side do the same for all the others other corners once you have that once you've done all the four corners you should have sort of an X with a plus sign sort of like an asterisks or t'v to a plus with an X that's what you should have now that went use your foot when you end plus when you flip it over you should have four flaps forming a plus once you have this what I do is I fold it in and fold it in half and then I do the same for the other side and what that does is it kind of gives you a crease when you fold it in to make the shape so what you do now is you take your index and your thumb and you put it on the flap right there on this piece of paper and do the same for the other side and then just kind of stick your fingers in there and move it around a little bit until you get this figure and what you do is to maneuver it like this it is just with your thumbs and index finger pushing against each other open open open open open and just do the same open open open open the main point of these is to make a fortune that's why it's called a fortune teller and what most people do is on the flaps here these flaps the ones that cover your thumbs when you hold it these usually have a color on it with whatever colour you want just this is optional ish just the point of the things well kind of makes it necessary in a way and the colors that I have here are blue brown pink and grey but it could be any colors you want orange red green whichever one you want in here you could either write the word or color it in or whatever you want and just make a different color for each flat so it's just you finish up here and so you should have blue brown orange whatever colors you want and then again when you put it back in this form this is how it should look with whatever colors you have and then what you want to do is up out and out what was it I said crossing across whatever I said do that and then what you do here is on these flaps right here that on the front ones it looks like divided into two you write a number right whatever number you want if it be whatever number but most common ones are one two three four five six seven and eight those are the most common numbers that you have on a fortune-teller and so fold it back into the shape of it it in and then when you do what you do here is you ask somebody you say pick the color and they'll say brown so it will be our o WN and I don't know if you can see here but the numbers are four three eight and seven and then you'll say pick a number and let's say they pick seven you'll go one two three four five six seven and so it opens back to the same flap and so you say pick another number and they'll say for for instance let's just say and in here and these flaps the ones behind the numbers you're supposed to write kind of a little fortune that you divided into two or one whichever one you want and you didn't you do that for all of them and so I'm gonna do number one right so let's say one of the fortunes is you will win the lotto and then another one will be you will find true love you know whatever you want you just make it up for all of them and what and then you just do what I said you just put it back into the same shape and fortune-teller pick a color GRA GRA why pick a number three one two three and the numbers are five six two and one and I pick six I don't think they really know but whatever you then you wouldn't lotto you will find $20 on the for you whatever you can write whatever you want here this is a toy that it's pretty fun to do you can do with your friends play trick maybe put a prank one that says like out of order and it doesn't work or something and just kind of fun toy to do keep you entertained for a little bit also I've been hearing around it this is also a cootie catcher that I'm not a hundred percent sure of I know some people do call it cootie catchers because I guess it kind of looks like a mouth or something but whatever so this is your toy this is how you
