Please explain how to install drop-in anchors

hello I am Bob Carlisle president of concrete fastening systems today we'll be demonstrating how to install our concrete fasteners the dropping anchor is a female anchor designed for use in only solid concrete they cannot be used in brick or block base material the anchor size is designated by the inside diameter the anchor the diameter of the hole to be drilled is the same size as the outside diameter of the anchor for example a quarter inch drop in anchor requires a 3/8 inch hole when fastening to concrete brick or black a hole needs to be drilled into the base material a hammer drill must be used as it will create the best quality hole once the pit is tucked into the hammer drill the depth of the hole to be drilled can easily be set by using the depth gauge on the hammer drill or by simply wrapping the bit with tape at the depth that is required before starting to drill the hole it is important that eye and ear protection are used make sure the hammer drill is in the hammer mode and start drilling your hole continue drilling until the tape on a bit meets the base material the hole must be cleaned of all concrete dust to ensure proper fastening using a wire brush at a vacuum or compressed air will ensure that the hole is clean out private insert the drop an acre with the open side up drop the anchor into the hole tap lightly to get the anchor flush with the base material now take the setting tool and insert it into the anchor strike the setting tool with the hammer until the lip of the anchor touches the lip of the setting tool this will ensure the anchor is properly set place a fixture over the anchor and insert the machine threaded bolt through the fixture and into the anchor tighten down until the fixture is secure should you need additional technical information please click on the technical information button to purchase online just click on the size you want in your order which we shipped the same day as received since you have any questions you can email me at RBC Atkin fast comm or call eight eight eight four nine eight five seven four seven
