Please explain how to plant english thyme

hi I'm Marcy JAGMAN the aspiring gardener and today we're gonna talk about how to plant English time what I'm gonna do is find a spot within my herb garden that I have a little bare area right here time tends to grow in a nice little bush so it's gonna fit right into this row here it needs to be in a really good sunny spot with good drainage now this is pretty loose so I'm not gonna have to worry too much about the soil I've got a whole pretty easy this is a time that I've actually divided and moved from another part of my garden so it's gonna look a little different most the time you're gonna buy them in a four inch pot now it looks a little more straggly but it has a lot of roots so this is going to fill it a lot quicker it's really easy to transplant you can see each little piece has tiny little hair type roots so this is like a bunch of little divisions so I'm going to kind of pack them together there's really nothing out of the ordinary to planting it it's mostly having it in the right area of your garden that's important as you can see it's kind of sporadic and growth but it'll be a rounded little bushy plant and what you want to do is take and cut a term it as it grows and it'll get into a nice shape and what you can do is you can have different types of time this one here is fully time and as you can see it's kind of a ground cover type it's really low if I put it in the ground there's a lot of creeping times they flower at different times a flower white red purple so what you can have is kind of a patchwork of different times if you want to but this one this English thyme is your best culinary time for eating and this is how you plant English time
