so when working with sculpted retaining wall units it's required that you pitch the base block back a sixteenth of an inch per foot of wall height so i'm going to show you a simple trick on how to be consistent with that so using our torpedo block we are going to use a spacer in this case i'm using quarters because they're adjustable each quarter is a sixteenth of an inch so if i've got a three foot hot high wall i use three quarters i got a two foot high wall i can use two quarters i got a one foot high wall i can use one quart so what i'm gonna do is get my base block ready set it into place now as a as a simple trick to be very consistent i would want to take my three quarters that i have here and actually tape them to the level and i can use that level all the way down the wall but in this case i'm just going to set them on my wall put my level down read bubble and i can actually read a center bubble on my base block and i know that every wall every base unit all the way down the wall is going to have a consistent pitch back you
