Please explain how to install trolling motor in feelfree lure 11.5 kayak

alright guys this is what the motor looks like right out of the box before I cut it down and what you want to do there's four bolts right here one two three four but you need to unscrew and then you can take off the top part right here the cap and it comes off but there will be wires connected to these and I will post some pictures right here you then they'll also be two bolts right here that hold the wires separate so that the handle can go in and out and there'll also be a bolt right here then you unscrew these take this off take the mounting bracket off and this piece you don't need take this piece off there you go I did end up shortening the shaft about it's about five inches so it'd be flush with the kayak and before you cut it you got to make sure this is a PVC pipe and it's think it's half an inch but you got to make sure you put this down in there before you cut it this is just to protect the wires that way you don't cut through it or use this brass craft cutter to cut this piece right here to make it a lot easier it just goes around it and you just turn it until it cuts through everything you got to make sure you file it down so that it's not going to cut the wires or cut your fingers I also shortened the wires by five inches each so that way it's not all packed in the cap and it won't close and another piece a shortened was this piece I did shorten that piece because it's way too long to fit inside the box to drill the hole you need one of these hollow drill bits buy this at Lowe's or Home Depot maybe Walmart eat one of these depending on your trolling motor the size of my shaft right here was one inch so I got a winch hollow drill bit and and it'll go through just got to give it a little pressure but it'll go through the first part then it'll go through the second part right there then all you do is flip around to the bottom and drill through there as well all right this piece that came with it I'll stick it back on there this just keeps it locked tight down at the bottom so that if I lift it all the way up it doesn't break my propeller against the bottom of this now we'll slide the wires through there we go close the bag as you can see it's got plenty of space to move the next piece you want to put this piece right here all right after you put these two pieces I cut off about six inches of this piece so once you figure out where it's going to lay right in the middle you want to take it a drill bit and just drill a hole in that spot make sure it's the same size as that so that way when it goes in there it's really snug this prevents it from being able to turn and if you do want to steer it with a motor you can raise this up and turn this up like that or like that you can do that and then you'll be able to turn the trolling motor but I don't think it's very beneficial because it's like right in the middle of the kayak tighten that down now this part right here I put it through the spot where the wires supposed to go and then it comes out the back end into this little plug and I think I bought this at academy in sports sports an outdoor place it's in the boat section and yeah I'll show you where it goes on the kayak but this just runs to my battery ok for this part you got to make sure you have the bolt on there the matches up to this bolt this part right here you don't have to cut to make you just need the bolt to go through it and that's all you need to hold it in place but I'll put this back together like so and again I'll put pictures up so that you know what wires go where also you got to remember that the handle won't be on the same side you'll have to actually rotate it around like that so that the propeller be on the handle side it comes out of the box this way but you make sure it goes this way so that way you have access to the buttons right here when you're putting it back together make sure these are lined up separated make sure these pieces are separated so that the handle go hand very nicely after we got it all plugged back in close it up did use some of this stuff put it around here and around this one too just to protect the wire a little bit all right guys we're outside I'm going to show you how to hook up everything got my battery box right here got one this one's running a fuse and then it's connected to the battery yeah so I drilled a couple holes to stick it out so it's easy access plug and play that's still right in there I got this strap that I've swept down it just goes around the back like so see now this piece it's the same piece well I guess it's the ACE either male or female of this piece so I drilled a one-inch well I'll use the hollow 1 inch drill bit to drill that then came with wires put connectors on them so it's easy connection yeah so that just connects like that now it's all powered up now what's this just make sure it's line the propellers lined up vertically before you put it in and all this does goes right in make sure it locks up in here then it just sets in right there and we'll latch it up and plug this piece in just goes right there kind of water resistance use some goop green goop seal the hole pretty snug and yeah there it is and see with it all the way up there we go it's pretty flush with the kayak if you're just paddling and just lowering it it's that simple you could probably steer it but I wouldn't recommend it since it is close to the middle of the kayak wouldn't do any good with turning sharp corners or anything this just keeps it from going left and right yes and the propeller does clear after I cut five inches off the shaft but depending on your towing motor you could have a bigger propeller so you might need more clearance but this propeller works good for me where I fish I don't fish in the ocean or big bodies of water that have big waves all this does is help me get to certain places a little quicker less stressful on your back paddling because we all know paddling sucks even through the wind by paddling through the wind I'm not going nowhere but with this where the power is underwater you're just gonna go right through the wind best part about it now if you really get into shallow waters just detach the latch pull up on it set it like that there it is so I hope you enjoyed the video give it a thumbs up if you liked it or it helps you out and helping you build your set up don't forget to dapper bass try
