Please explain how to cut and tape a hockey stick by winnwell hockey

in this video we're going to show you how to properly size and tape a hockey stick hold the stick vertically resting the blade on the ground make a mark on the stick where the player's chin is use a hand saw to cut the stick now you're ready to take the stick use white tape for the top hand grip white tape preserves gloves and is less sticky the black tape start approximately two to four inches from the top of the stick cover the shaft of the stick until you get to the end when you get to the ends continue to roll the tape to create a knob you can use white or black tape on the blade of the stick but black tape is more common it's important to start at the heel of the stick and roll the tape to the toe of the blade this will help the puck come off the stick properly cut the tape close to the toe of the blade try to keep the tape as smooth as possible over time players will develop personal preferences on the way they tape their stick but this is a good technique to start your stick is now properly sized and taped thanks for watching and please check out our YouTube channel for more how to fit videos
