I'm going to show you how to prevent a Camelback reservoir from getting moldy and if it already has mold in it I'll show you an easy way to clean it put two tablespoons of bleach into the reservoir then fill the reservoir about halfway with water close the cap shake the water around for a while wait 30 minutes hold the reservoir above the bite valve squeeze the bite valve and drain about a half a cup of the bleach solution into a container drain the rest of the water into a sink rinse the bleach out of the reservoir by filling it with plain water several times and draining it through the tube if you have thin arms you can get an L towel and just push it into the reservoir and dry and clean it out if extra scrubbing is needed use a brush if your arms don't fit wrap the cloth around something with a handle and dry the inside that way this assemble all the pieces of the reservoir if the drink tube connections are difficult to remove submerge the connection in a bowl of hot tap water for about five minutes to heat up the plastic at the local big-box craft store buy a 3/16 inch wooden dowel that is longer than the length of the drink tube and buy some pipe cleaners the dowel and pipe cleaners should cost about three dollars fold one of the pipe cleaners in half insert it into the drink tube use the dowel to push the pipe cleaner all the way through the drink tube if the drink tubes especially dirty you may have to run the pipe cleaner through several times or soak it in some of the bleach solution and then run it through the tube and clean out the bite valve with the bleach solution and pipe cleaners to prevent mold from growing inside of your Camelback if you're finished using it you can roll it up and store it in your freezer I hope you found this video helpful you can check out my other videos by clicking on the channel named know-how now a thumbs up is always appreciated and thanks for watching
