hey Micah do it but I ain't trippin on father's sheep happy holidays I will be preparing seafood grill gumbo some dish day I grew up eating doing the holiday my dad is originally from Baton Rouge Louisiana New Orleans and it's just been a tradition in my family for such a long time so I'm passing it down to my family again it is a delicious this is very good if you've never tried it you would know that when you taste it one time you'll know what it's supposed to taste like and you'll also know the ingredients that goes in gumbo we'll be starting off with couple consists of quite a few things it consists of crap I have just the leg cramps you know nothing too big because everything is going to go in one pot I also have shrimps at the bottom of this pot so what I was doing was I was just singing them out a little bit I would just steaming the shrimp's a little bit in the pot with a little water a little crap cuz you know crap and this shrimps are pretty much pretty dumb you just get enough frost off phone so it's like a little sting that's going on now with the shrimp and the crab over here I have my okra okra is part of the Filip ingredient also you're just going to get frozen over you're gonna just put it in a skillet just kind of knock the Front's off there you don't have to do any seasoning because with gumbo everything is going to come together at the end also I have sausage these sauces are you could use pork sausage UVU beeps honesty whichever your purpose but you have to have sausage so it's consistent of quite a few meats as you can tell you'll be able to tell this is the sausage that I'm using me okay we also going to use chicken now I was told that you can bake eat but again I'm sticking to what I know how to do the tradition that I grew up watching and my friend mother and my mom they fried the chain we have drums in here and we have Queens okay so you don't have to put a really great big chicken in and use drumettes wings or you can use the drum because again all this is going to come together in the end so we have our chicken here that I fried up so it's ready to go and you don't have to season it too heavy with the meats because again it's all gonna come together in one big pot you don't want it too salty and if you have tried enough oh you know the taste it's a seafood dish this gumbo filet is what makes it you don't have this in your gumbo you're not eating gumbo it used to be very hard to find but now Ben reigns makes it and you can find them at your local grocery store we also going to be using chicken broth this is to get my gravy boy this is what they call room ro UX and it's just a problem that's all it is it's like a gravy and you're going to get that bullet-like just flour browning it in a pan and then you can also use the chicken broth and that's to kind of get it going how some no heavy seasoning I can't stress that no heavy seasoning so we're gonna what I'm doing now I'll get my gravy together and I want a lot of it you know so you have to keep if you if you if you know how to make gravy you wouldn't know that we gravy is is you gotta you gotta keep messing around with it until you get it just perfect so that's definitely what I want is some perfect gravy right now cuz it's going in here as my foundation for all this to kind of come together okay so we're going to continue getting our gravy together I'm just kind of playing around with it I got it on low now here you see it's my rice you have to have one of those that you have to but I grew up eating gumbo with rice if you want brown rice that's your preference white rice but we have a pot of rice stone also my son would tell me mama dance that rice is but what really give it to the kid in it that right thing right good boy gonna be right so he's definitely right about that gotta have good rice so we got some rice going because it's gonna it's more like a dish that you can just answer put your rice and he just at all these goodies on top of it you just go in eat your crabs how you want it you're gonna be a bowl just big as the block depending on how much of it did you plan on eating so we're gonna continuing our gravy and just get nice to right for me I like the color the color is perfect welcome back to reshape a cook's just finishing up our gumbo we have anything prepared we are our sausage prepared we have our okra our chicken fried chicken which is simmering down in the gravy we have our rice it's being prepared and our cramps and I shrimp so now what we gonna do is put everything in the pot and I just closed it a little bit so I wouldn't be dry I'm gonna start with this I'm gonna drop everything in there like that there and a little water we get ready to get this smell going which is my favorite part just empty everything into pie okay and once we do that we're gonna take our maybe fry up like I said the bigger your potty as you can add more and we have our trips to the bottom I'll pour a little of the water just a little you're gonna take the rest of my seafood and just in sorry got that nice clam look and then we gonna get our sausage we have completed all our steps this is your gumbo ingredients so now I'm gonna just kind of get it all going it's turn around here and then be ready to eat it once the rice get done so we got all our ingredients in our pies I'm just going to add a little chicken broth so my pan at the bottom I pop one gets sticky because we have everything inside I just cook well vegetable cooking spray to keep everything sticking and we're going to add our gumbo feel a shake it all in there it all got good down I'm gonna shake this pot up okay put the top on there got the right book look at all my ingredients in the pot now I'm just gonna let it cook slowly medium a medium and just kinda get everything going all the flavors going but it's being a big pot I'm gonna shake it up a bit and it'll get me a spoon and stir everything we go I'm gonna get a spoon to kind of stir everything and get everything the onions I'm sorry the okra in uh trips all to the bottom
