okay so once you have the material remove the acoustic ceiling or the popcorn ceiling removed now you can see this is because this particular ceiling had paint over the popcorn so it went twice in that sometimes you compromise by fear not because you can actually put something called skim coat skim coat is using the drywall compound or the multi-purpose you know compound to so actually go over all the stuff in a skim coat and leave a nice and flush and I'm going to go over in a moment to show you what it is also we are cleaning the edges in this case when you skim coat this one is easier to say you need to spend much time send it down and you can you know like now when you have machines to send things when you're doing it by hand you're doing more detail work in an entire house to you something that gonna take a lot of energy from you so the skin coating is the process again of covering the entire area to give it a nice smooth finish we have a lot of perfections in this case any we wanna make sure that we cover the entire thing so for that you can see on demonstration and for my Spanish version by I'm going to show you here now I take big sections you want to make sure that you cover you know to work in bigger area so I'm using this to transport my compound I have a little bit over here and I using a 6 inch compound knife and a 12 inch compound I now normally I put a little bit of water on the mixture you can actually use a drill or in my case you know put the water pre-mixed now when you lose you want to cover all the area generally you don't want to worry about the thickness of a or the compound until just starting to wipe it out taking a 15 minute out making them more Union let me explain show you a live example so this lipstick song on two fingers in the back with the surface notice that I used both knife sometimes you get into areas where you need even something smaller than that now as you can see that over this area alright so I wonder what I do now for taking the excess I just clean these lines here and I'll start taking the material out of the ceiling surface and wiping the stuff or cleaning the spots on the way so you notice sometimes now you're gonna have a little imperfections you want to go ahead and correct them as you go and but but now you see a nice and uniform stroke I mean you can notice now that I just make that huge line over here and I saw was the little debris deeper so you're gonna go head back to the area and then cover it up what I try to not leave so many imperfections because particularly the more you have to build up again in the future so you want to make sure and move on to another area so you can use a platform or you can use like these slides that you can access from both sides which are good look at our little perfection would another way of doing this thing I mean we're gonna find little conveniences bumps I need to build up a little bit or you need to take out some work but that's the idea since I'm very close to the ceiling as you can knowledge I'm able to see famous pictures right and since I'm not applying a huge amounts of all the material you can just kind of pretty much control you need to be careful when you're applying the material because you know too much pressure on one side then we'll make a line with the spatulas over the compound so that's what it is for the first one you know the first hole the driver compound I will continue with a second one I just remove the little arm they do you know imperfections are there the new access if you find any but that's how you wanted you want to let it dry do I have just you know scrape a little bit of the stuff in a second code that's I'm gonna show you later how I works well this is the second code that I'm applying this process the second clue is going to be after me to discover the leave imperfections sometimes just because I have the fact that I'd like to send the first code remove the excess of material use with it with a come on eyes the reason is because when working you tend to send you your surfaces too much you create a lot of ghosts and unless you move really well they're dust the new material is going to get attached to your one is easy and sometimes you can see that when you're painting you may kill them so just just as my tip my recommendation I still use remove that stop gently if you have a lot of excess probably you know do a little bit of sanding and just wipe it with a damp sponge but in this case what we want to do just using a demonstration again we're gonna use some using this type of lines that I leave that for me to work till we get to the surface because I mean the materials are the more liquid you can actually use when working because this you know which is so let me see that I
