I have part two of my project from yesterday it's complete but we're gonna do another one okay I actually used my that's how I roll stencil on this one because I thought the Santa Clauses were like whimsical so I thought that one would go well so I used the rooster and rolling pin stencil and what I did I'm showing you a close-up you see how whimsical those Santa Claus are with the presents and he's acting goofy so I thought be that's how I roll would work and I used two colors first I did the rolling pin in green and then I went over it with a little white and I did the rooster in a different position I'm gonna go back it is backwards but that says that's how I roll and I did two rolling pins because the board is so long now I'll tell you what I would have done different I would have done that that's how I roll part in the rolling pin that way you would have seen it different you know it would have showed up better so that's and I don't think I would have painted the board yellow I think the lighter color it didn't turn out what the napkins as distressed it looks wrinkled and I like all that part but I like to stain better and I liked how the red paint looked so those are my two qualms about this project in the end it still did turn out cute so there it is from an angle and that's the stencil that I used you guys know that's how I roll but as I mentioned I get the rolling pin in two areas and then I did that's how I roll and then I layered it in a little white kind of make it look a little like you know there's a dusting of flour on it but that's how it turned out it is cute it is Christmasy and it will go in my kitchen I'll probably hang it or put it on my counter or I'm not sure so that's how it looks close up see how the paper turns a little different colors I'm gonna put this aside and we are going to stencil the other horde with my new stencil I want to let you guys know too when you store your stencils a lot of people ask me how do you store your stencils if you keep the original packaging because my packaging is cardboard inside you can clean it just store it right back in the package but here is the new one there we go home is where the heart is haven't used it yet today we're gonna stencil a little different instead of dip top dab we're gonna use a roller because I'm gonna do this all one color so I want to show you how easy it is just to use a roller when you're doing all one color and if you wanted to go back and shade you can use your stencil brushes on the lead so I already put my paint in a to-go container the Chinese bowls I told you I like using those okay I'm gonna use my spray adhesive my craft bond lightly spray the back and I just kind of air it out a minute a lot of people have also asked um does it get sticky how do you get the adhesive off if you just use a little bit you shouldn't have a problem okay this is gonna go in the middle like to stand up when I do it then what I do is actually take my sponge brush roll it in the bowl try to get the whole thing covered now that's pretty saturated see we're not gonna just roll on it now I'm gonna take the lid and I'm gonna get out all that excess you could also use paper plates whatever you want ready to roll that's how I roll then you just start rolling this literally will take about 50 seconds because I'm doing all one color you don't want it press hard just gently make sure you fill in all the cuts as I mentioned I like using the sponges when I'm doing all one color if I want to go back in with my stencil brush and do a little shading of the leaves that would be fine you do not need to roll hard go in and fill some spaces we'll give it one minute but I thought the white would look pretty with the white napkins and the green Christmas trees and maybe I'll add a little green to the leaves maybe a little red to the flower if I want to but I don't think so I think it's ready there it is so that's the board now this stencil obviously can be used all year round but I did it for Christmas and I think that'll make a really cute Christmas gift let's do it this way there we go and see how nice and clean that turns and of course you see the little wrinkles because that's the napkins so it gives two that gives a little texture so that's it when you want to UM you know stencil something with one color and you know it's a larger stencil the sponge rollers are fantastic or stained initially then use napkins to modge podge let that dry overnight and now we just came in and stenciled so yeah I'm really happy with that that looks super cute another great gift hey this is also a wonderful housewarming present you
