so we got our wicks in a package like this and each wick has on the bottom of it a wick clip and this is a little metal piece I'm just straightening it out because it's gonna go flat on the bottom of the teacup and it's going to keep the wick in the center and that's really important when you're burning a candle you want the wick to remain upright in the center of your candle so we can't just set that in there and pour the wax in because the wax is gonna move it all around so we're gonna use a wick keeper and this is kind of a double stick tape circle very handy you can use hot glue for this also but this is the right size and everything we like this just stick one side there stick the other side in the center to the bottom of the teacup like that it looks great and that's going to keep the wick secured at the bottom but at the top it could still move around when we put in the wax so we've got a trick for that we are going to tie up the wick just onto a pencil and that's gonna keep it nice and vertical in the T cap once we pour the wax you can tie it to a secure but we think pencils are cuter they are cuter so I'm just tying like this yeah get it nice and tight and then we're gonna turn it just here for now and then we'll trim it closer later we'll keep this set this aside for another project and get it good and centered you can see it there and that's all there is to putting in your wick
