brought to you by 1a auto calm your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the Internet hi I'm Don from 1a oh I hope this how-to video helps you out and the next time you need a part for your vehicle think of 1a auto calm Thanks in this video we're going to show you how to replace the front oxygen sensor on a 2.2 liter model year 2000 Chevy Cavalier in order to do this you'll need a new oxygen sensor from 1a auto as well as a 7/8 inch wrench and if you have one it might help you to use a 7/8 inch oxygen sensor socket as well as a extension and socket wrench locate the front oxygen sensor right there in the front by the are exactly on the exhaust manifold and then its harness that goes to the clip using a pocket screwdriver to pry off or pry out that gray portion of the connector that's just kind of a safety lock on the connector so it doesn't come loose and then once I've got that pried out of the way I'll press in on the center of that tab to release it I'm using a 7/8 inch oxygen sensor socket on the end of an extension and I'm going to use a socket wrench I'm actually going to need a pipe that's going to go over the end of that socket wrench so I can get a little bit more leverage on it to just to break it free and I'm going to go ahead and fast forward as I unscrew that and you can see here the oxygen sensor as I pull it out going back in the oxygen sensor going to seat it in the threads and then use the socket to turn it in and tighten it and I'm going to go ahead and fast forward as I tighten up that oxygen sensor you plug the connector back in and press in on the gray clip we hope this helps you out brought to you by ww1 aro calm your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet please feel free to call us toll free 888 8 4 4 3 3 9 3 we're the company that's here for you on the internet and in person
