what's up guys so what we're going to be doing today is I'm gonna be D badging I'm gonna remove this Dodge from the back here I'm gonna leave the charger and the RT over there and then on the side I'm gonna go ahead and take the Hemi off from below this 392 I just think it just just too many badges here this just looks too busy I'm gonna leave 392 there take the Hemi off so we're go ahead and get started on my 16 before I really started videoing a lot of stuff I actually used dental floss on a hot day I doubled it up and it actually worked fairly well I went through two packages of dental floss though because it kept breaking but this time it just popped on down to Walmart and I picked up some of this sweet-ass camo 12 pound test fishing line so let's get at it alright so the first thing that I'm gonna do here since is about sixty degrees at our 65 degrees out here today roughly I'm gonna go ahead and heat this up a little bit and get it the way it's kind of warm to give this this fishing line a little hill [Applause] okay so we got it warmed up just gonna wrap it around here start on the D side hold it up against the car and just kind of saw her back and forth I always try to catch the emblem here and that's the first one first one on it left a lot of this adhesive but this stuff on these in the back peel off pretty pretty easily as now I got some isopropyl alcohol 70% then I'm gonna use it that's the first one off [Applause] just give it a little bit more heat here back and it okay you're some saw an action went through like butter next one all let's go go ahead and go forward on on this D if I can get this wraparound shoe try not to let that happen on the G on the backside boo that came up leaning gotta love it and the last one here and eat you get back behind it boom that come off pretty clean too all right so for the adhesive that stayed it's still kind of kind of warm I'm trying to just pull it off here like a sticker just going actually pretty pretty well my last car had a little trouble with this just peeled it right off so I've got car Pro eraser here I'll go ahead on each one and dab to get the beach dirt off without rubbing because this is a back plastic piece scratches like nobody's business grab me a good microfiber now and I started with a clean car to just these emblems just kind of trap trap dust and debris back behind them spray it on my towel here you don't have the car pro eraser to use I mean a warrantless wash detailing spray any of that stuff will work pretty well you just want to try to get it as clean as possible right now so the next step when I take ribbon i ha got 70% isopropyl alcohol and what I'm gonna do with that is just try to get the arrest of this adhesive here give me a clean spot the rest of this adhesive here off and I started with a clean surface right that way when I put this on here and I'm rubbing with it I met a lot lower risk of scratching this black plastic piece because it was cleaning to begin with and this alcohol is going to do pretty good with this and he's in here just a little residue of the adhesive there you have it pretty simple to get these emblems off of these cars I've taken emblems off of other cars haven't been a pretty painter to get off usually these on the Dodgers come on pretty easily especially the dives on the back here now we're gonna move on to the side and it's gonna be a lot more difficult than what the back was cuz there's just a lot more adhesive but what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna make sure I evenly heat and go around and get it get it warm because being hot is a thing like I said I've removed these implants before with dental floss but it was about 98 degrees that day so let's move on to the side all right so what we're gonna do here is very similar to what we just did on the back I'll go ahead and warm this up and I'm gonna warm this whole area up because there's a lot of adhesive behind these I'm going around the outside as well as on the emblem I'm trying not to go directly over the top of the 392 because I don't want it to get all UV with me when I'm trying to remove the Hemi Hill I don't want to move but there is quite a lot of adhesive on these emblems on the side so be prepared [Applause] and another trick for these emblems if you take some black electrical tape and run it around your fingers and then wrap this around that'll help keep you from cutting your fingers all up if anybody was wondering have some folks do that I'm not really that concerned with it get started and get to sawing it back and forth here I said I would concern with when you get to the edges of these of this.h you didn't have to push it back behind didn't see where it's hung up here there we go behind it and just keep sawing just give me Fitz up broken line get back in here so there's a lot of a lot of adhesive on these we're almost through so I'm not gonna mess around with a piece of line right now all right so when you break through everyone's probably gonna stay just tape make sure you don't press up against the paint on the back pull it off you see that whole back of that there's nothing but adhesive so if you don't get this warm at least it would be a whole lot more difficult to get that off all right so for this adhesive here I'm gonna try to do like we did the back see how it's kind of rolling up just take your thumb try to see if you can just stuff to roll up the more you can get to come off in one piece or as big a piece as possible the better off you'll you'll be see even beneficial sometimes a little bit more heat on there [Applause] someone's gonna keep working at it here trying to get like I said as much off as possible has the least amount of rubbing alcohol or dugong whatever you're using that you use it better off you're gonna you're gonna be I try to get close to the paint as possible with the fishing line to leave as least as possible of this adhesive on the car but it doesn't always work out that way oftentimes it goes roll up and stuff rolls off in little in balls like this alright I'll take my isopropyl alcohol or if you you using dugong or whatever you're using trying to get this stuff off it's kind of all the same principle I've used alcohol several times in the past and sticker remover and I got new gun if I I need to break it out it's a little bit more powerful I go ahead and break it out a lot of times this alcohol will work worked pretty good for getting it off remember to keep yourself a clean portion of the the rag I mean once you start building up a bunch of the adhesive on the on the microfiber port another rag I need to keep kind of moving it around get another clean size right here one more time here bow got all the song they just put a lot of adhesive on these side emblems so they sometimes be a pain it's just the process just the back down just a little bit on the bottom half here bottom half on the bottom of this emblem where it met up there we go take some car for a racer here I'm just gonna wipe over the area Oh Oh laughter that wipe I see a little bit still right here all right think that'll pretty much do it it's a little bit of a process sometimes it's a little bit more difficult than others but that's the gist of it now just got to go to the other side and do the other one thanks everybody rubbing alcohol because it's a lot less expense I think this is a dollar 15 for a whole bottle of it instead of going out and buying a bottle of goo gone so just things like that eating up the envelope that's what I try to do with my videos and give you a little bit of hints and you know a little help on doing these things for the guys just doing another house thanks again for watching you
