uh there's a video on how to uh repair your uh sticking keys on your synthesizer i have disassembled this guy as you can see there's the bottom of the top panel and up here we have the circuit board laid them all out yeah now your mileage ovarian and your type of keyboard what you got to take apart but what i'm about to show you is qualifies for any of them this procedure will be the same here's the buttons i put them all down there close the radio all right well here's the keyboard now this happens to be a rolling uh xp-10 keys are sticking as you can see right here what that is let me get my q-tip here now i'll just take some of the vaseline here put a little vaseline on there's a little felt pad here there you know so this is already pretty greasy from the factory as you can see this is the pivot and here's a see how that felt rubs in this area here let me get my bearing straight because that's the rear okay yeah be right here basically um in that zone there in here so i would put some in there and that'll help me where it moves freely and there's not a whole lot else you can do make sure everything is clean this keyboard has several that are sticking sometimes a little stick and sometimes and you know if you can memorize where each one goes maybe just take them all off and grease everything up and put it back together i'm just going to do the ones i feel are sticking so i don't take them all off the same this one's pretty easy to disassemble you just basically spread the little tabs here and then it slips up and then you slide forward it makes it easy and then some of them are going to be different they'll be held in uh oh i've seen some with a strip then you pull a strip out and it allows you in the freedom some are held in with a spring pull the spring off and then you slide the key forward or tilt it up and slide forward and it just depends on the type of keyboard that you're using and i guess that's it for the video and that'll help uh keep your keys from sticking but it's mostly on this felt pad here that it's sticking not the green one did you see here this is this one yeah softens the cushions uh put the little guy here this acts like a track to go up and down on and then i guess uh this tends to swell a little bit and then get sticky all right well that's it for this video enjoy and good luck preparing your keyboard
