today I'll be looking at loading a Bubba kettle without using a chimney some reason people love these chimneys I've never used one in probably 20 years and I've never found the need for one I've got the original Weber bottom great a couple of well used charcoal baskets I've been using these for about eight years and they're still going strong tonight we'll be making pizza and I'm using both these baskets and with a layer of heat beads at the bottom of the basket and on top of artists I like putting some lump charcoal for a better wood fire pizza flavor and we'll be lighting all this without a chimney using a few readily available Feist honors that can be bought at any grocery store so I'm not a lot of money I'll normally get a big packet of them for about $2 to $3 and they last me quite a while these are the fly lighters I've been using they're nice and cheap generic branded coals brand it's 24 cubes in the packet and that's enough to light a lot of charcoal baskets there and I generally get these for that a dollar ninety-nine for the packet when they aren't special I think generally they're about three dollars I've now added the lunch charcoal to the baskets on top of the heck beads and we've also placed four cubes firelighter cubes on the bottom of great shortly it will be the lighting knees and then just placing the baskets over the top and you just leave it for 15 to 20 minutes and you're ready to make some fixes so we all rush to go now now here's the important thing open the events up so you flip your bottom vents open will like the coals sorry will like the five starters and then we fit the coal box top that these coal could be ready in about 15 minutes nine eight point in fancy gadgets chimneys or whatever else you want to call it just sit back that's fully open and wait to be difficult okay you like your toes and that's how you like charcoals just about ready to go okay they will alight now addiction is off it we want to go and see you then the chocolate will alight now spend about 50 minutes in sliding them I'll put the pizza sign on there now warming up I'm going to put the lid on for another five minutes just to warm everything up before putting some flexes on me in relation to the lighting of the coals same principle applies regardless of what you're cooking okay obviously in this case with making pizzas so if you're making meat roast whatever I light in the same way worked for the last 20 years and it's going to work for the next 20 years take some making video it's more about lighting the coals but time here's my meat lovers Pizza which is dinner tonight sitting on the Texas stone that would put the lid on it really looking forward to this tonight in a third cows are still going so I'll probably make a few more pieces thanks for watching
