Please explain how to coil your extension cords so they won't tangle

hi I'm Lucy with ninja green in Los Angeles and I'm going to show you how to coil your extension cords so that you won't have any more tangles a ninja green we only use electric equipment so we have a lot of extension cords to deal with for the appliances that don't have batteries already so when we use extension cords well they have to be pretty long to be able to cover a whole yard so the first thing that we do is we fold our extension cord this is a hundred-foot extension cord we fold it into thirds so since this is a hundred-foot extension cord to divide it into thirds and fold into thirds I just mark it with a permanent marker so I know where it is folded what we do is you just put one little simple loop in the end there and then from there you take us almost like a slip knot you just do a little two half twist and you're going to loop each successive bite of cord into the last loop from the very last one you can pull all the way through so what you have is an extension cord that is not going to tangle itself up once you have it you can throw it in the car you can roll it up put it in a bucket or hang it wherever you're going to hang it and that's no problem the nice thing the reason I folded it in thirds is so that you have one into the cord sticking out this end and the other sticking out this end so if it ever if ever you just need a very short extension cord you don't have to uncoil it you can plug one end into the wall and one end into you or whatever you need to plug into now to undo this you just reverse the process you take that last loop remember you pulled it through you just pull it through and then it's just a slip knot you just pull your extension cord out the whole thing comes undone very nicely and unlike a traditional coil if you ever pull a coil halfway out trying to get it back together again just right so it loops and lines up is actually quite difficult here if you're halfway through you can pick it up wherever you left off and just finish by putting it right back in and don't forget to pull the last one through I'm rue with ninja green in Los Angeles and that's how you can coil a very long extension cord to avoid knots
