now this is just a quick little tutorial on how to adjust the flame of a Zippo lighter by default your Zippo lighter the flame will be a certain height and it's quite easy to adjust it I don't know why if it works anyway if we strike the Zippo you'll see where it's flame is coming to at the moment there's a bit of an air current but that's about three inches if it wasn't blowing in a certain direction so we'll see because the air current that's blowing - right but what I'm going to do now is put it out and show you how to adjust it to get a bigger or smaller flame now what we're going to do is if you see that wick on the inside we're going to push that to the left and that will affect the height of the flame I'm just going to do it a little Swiss Army knife but you don't need any tools just obviously be aware that if that's hot it will burn you while doing it so because I've not got the tripod out at the moment I might need to put the camera down a second to do that now as you can see that wick is on the far left side of the windshield now so what we're going to do is zoom back out I'll put this down I'm going to like the lighter up again we'll see how high the flame goes I think you see that's a much higher flame now let's go and beyond three inches if it stood up it'd be probably about three and a half inches so with my Zippo orb I don't know if it's the same or Zippos it tends to be the further left you put the flame further left you put the wick the higher the flame where if you put the wick on the right nearest the Flint then you get a shorter flame but overall that's how you can easily adjust the height on the Zippo flame
