hey there everyone it's time for more guardians of the galaxy fun as we're going to be making a groot mask now what you're going to need to make your groot mask is the following some card some brown tissue paper a mask some pva glue some coloured paints a plate a sponge a paintbrush and a brush for some glue first place the mask on top of the card you'll also need some scissors a pencil and your glue for this bit the top of the mask draw some lines where groot's ears would be then draw in some shapes like bunny ears made of wood that were used to make the top of the group's head they should be different sizes like this cut them out with a pair of scissors or get an add-on to help you we're going to stick these bits just above the eyes like so then cut out two more shapes roughly the same sizes as the ones we've just made you should have enough to cover the whole of the forehead like so then put some pva glue on the forehead and stick the pieces of card on like so you might want to use some sticky tape to help keep them in place lots of sticky tape next draw a shape a bit like a milk bottle and cut it out glue it onto the center of the mask like this using sticky tape to keep it in place [Applause] now for the cheeks draw a shape with a square bottom and triangular top like so this is going to go underneath the card we put in the middle of the mask but first we need another one for the other side [Applause] attach them both to the middle section like so curving the triangular end around the cheek and onto the inside of the mask use lots and lots of sticky tape to make the mask nice and secure for the next part we're going to need our brown tissue paper some pva glue and a brush apply glue to the mask and put on small strips of tissue paper making sure to give it a nice wrinkled texture do this until the whole mask is covered in tissue paper now let's take some blue red and yellow paint and mix them all together this gives us a nice dark brown color maybe we should add some white paint to make it a little bit lighter perfect now let's get painting add some more white to the paint mixture to get an even lighter brown color and start to add your second layer of paint keep adding this light paint to give it a nice thick layer now we're going to add in some details use the dark brown paint to add some texture to the mask like so mix some yellow paint with the blue and what does this give us green mix the green with a bit of brown so as to give it a nice dark green color and add some to the mask now we need to do the boring bit wait for it to dry or if you want to cheat use a hair dryer right once it's dry we can add on some more details use a black permanent marker to draw on a mouth like so i'm going to add some more dark brown paint around the eyes and at the top of groot's head now for a spot of black paint hmm this is a really dark brown use this to add more details and texture around the edges of the mask now take a black felt tip and use it to make the mouth nice and dark use a brown felt tip to add some details around the eyes and nose and also around the mouth and forehead keep going until your mask looks as wooden and tree-like as possible and there you have it one fantastic completed group mask tremendous thanks for watching and don't forget to check out our other guidance the galaxy mask tutorials bye hey there everyone time for more guardians of the galaxy fun today we're going to be making a gamora mask ready then let's go now what we'll need to make this mask is some color paint blue tissue paper some red wool and a plain crafting mask now first we're going to take a small amount of each paint blue green yellow black and white mix the blue green yellow and white together to give you a light green color like this which we're going to use to paint a base layer on the mask add another layer to get it nice and thick now add some black paint to make a darker green color and use this around the edges of the mask around the eyes and cheeks add a touch more black paint to get the colour for the lips you can use this around the eyes as well paint the eyebrows with an even darker green like so next mix some of the blue and white paint together use the light and dark blue to add lines on the cheeks and above the eyes now it's time to add the hair exciting you'll need to stick the red wool to the inside edge of the mask with some tape you can add a few layers to make the hair nice and thick now add a layer of pva glue to the top of the mask put the hair over the front of the mask making sure to stick it onto the pva glue you'll then need to leave it to dry but once it does you can turn it back over and it will look like this now we're going to add another layer of hair to the front which you can stick on using tape add some pva glue between the two layers and stick the hair back like so and there you have it one completed gamora mask looks brilliant doesn't it what do you think everyone thanks for watching everyone and don't forget to check out our other fantastic guardians of the galaxy mask tutorials see you next time bye you
