hey everyone my name is matt white i'm the co-founder of high tide bowties if you're watching this video today it's probably because you don't know how to tie a proper bowtie no problems completely understandable what this video is going to show you is how simple it really is so when you're ready let's get into it alright guys once you've chosen your bowtie we're gonna do is you're gonna pop your collar up like this make sure the bowtie feels nice around the neck what I do is I usually make one end longer than the other doesn't matter can be left or right to do is I'm going to my left side longer fold the long side over the short end through the back up to the center put it towards the center your neck make it nice and snug around your Adam's apple right there and throw that piece right over your shoulder because you're not going to need to quite yet you're going to use your index finger place it behind the bowtie hold it in the front it's like you're making a miniature bowtie like that put your finger there and hold there in place now you're gonna do it's gonna pull that other side of the bowtie right down the center of it keeping everything nice and snug in place now you're gonna take that end and that end and pinch them together it's like that and here's the tricky part what I've simply done here is I've pinched the two ends of the bow ties together fold them together the front and we're gonna see is there's a loop in the back you're just gonna simply take the other end of the bowtie and feed it through that loop without pulling it all the way through just like that or if it's not perfect then you can just let it all hang down and now pull those two looped ends of the bow tie together make it nice and snug readjust it picks it up there you go that should be a good looking bowtie right there hey guys thanks a lot for watching our video we hope you enjoyed it and if you think it can help some of your friends down the road make sure to pass it along also feel free to check out our web site at high tide bowties com where you can find some of our products such as bow ties and pocket squares Cheers
