Please explain how to sew pant / trouser (fly zipper, trouser pocket) pt 2 | jessica nneka

welcome to my channel guys this is a video of the pants pattern I made it's in my channel I am going to put the link for this video in the description box I also showed you how you can make your flight zipper and your pockets now moving on I'm going to show you how to put your pants together fold your fabric in half place your pattern on top of it and start cutting out as it is now just go on and cut the rest out now as you can see I left the zipa paths just so I can use my chalk and trace around it now next thing you're going to want to do is make notches on the death area make not make much on the knee they need the ankle and pockets and also the flight zipper you need to make notches on your fabric so this way you know where everything is now I am just connecting my fly zipper line all the way to where it ends now I am just cutting off where I choked now also fold your fabric and place your fold your fabric in half and place your back pattern on your fabric and cut out everything just as it is on your fabric all the way around like this and also remember to make your little notches on your dots on your hip area your knee and your ankle on each side now moving on place your pockets and cut out some of that and also the facing and cut out two of that as you can see my fabric is on fold this way I would have to piss now this is my brand I called out about three inch for the width and I cut out my waist plus two inches extra and I am going to iron my interface on that now what I am doing here is I am going to add a half-inch like that on the crotch so as to join the two friends together now I am going to sew here up to here and I make an overlock stitch and sew all the way to the crotch now it is best to join the flaps together by using a loose stitch because we're going to loosen it up much later now what we are trying to do is to make a flight zipper now get your zipper don't worry my zipper is too long I couldn't get as small a zipper so this I'm going to make this work for me you can use a small zipper if you want now just mock out half inch on one of your flaps now place your zip right there and sew all the way now make sure your swing on the flap you're not going to be sewing on your fabric you're sewing on that half inch you mocked and you can also go on and over lock the edges just like I have done if I love the edges of your flap I have also made my stitches just like I said I would and now you can see I didn't sew on my fabric the stitches words on my flap now we are going to fold this in like this now we're going to want a soul on top like this that's way it's laid flat now after the wind 'red it's going to fall nicely on the other flap you can see that it falls nicely on the other flap and we're going to go on and so all the way like that so as to join the zipa to the flap now just turn your fabric out now we're going to make a stitch on top all the way like this I'm just going to go on and chop that out make sure your flap is laying nicely underneath those way we would get all our stitches right and in place way it's supposed to be now I am just creating my flap calls you can also make it straight if you want to now I have gone and make my stitches and you can see that I have stitched it now next thing we're going to do is we're going to loosen up those stitches we made earlier on and then I am using a sewing machine needle so loosen this up do not use a razor blade or something sharp you could say help your fabric so now guys once you're done listening it up you have your flap laying nice and neat just like this it's as easy as ABC you can see how knit it's looking and it's really simple to make so now I would cut off the excess zipper now place your pockets on your fabric and we're going to connect the half inch nuts you made so the other side and Mark out your 1/2 inch and sew all the way down there by joining your pockets to your pants now I am just making my notches all around it now next thing you can do is make a nice I am press like this or you can as well place your seam on your pockets and make a top stitch all the way like this but make sure you open up your pants and pockets so your simile nicely on your pockets go on and do same for the other pockets now I am just making my marks on the notches I made my fabric and connecting my dad's length and also I will be replacing my dad on my fabric just like I did on my pattern now next thing you're going to want to do is fold on the center line and join the half-inch to the apex just like that and do same for the side and also for the back now once you're done with your dad's next thing you want to do is join your two backs together and sew all the way like this to the crotch by half inch now we're going to place in our pockets facing and we're going to mark out through inch just like we did on our pattern now we're going to place that pads on the two-inch now in this is the past you want so you would want to pin no just turn it over to the goods to the other side and so all the way yeah by were joining our pockets together well you just going to show all the way like this and do them for the other side now we're going to show at the top and also right there and we're going to do same for this side so at the top and also right there now place your backpack fabric on your front fabric and now we're going to sew the two sides together by half inch join your back and your friends together by half inch now I am just following the notches I made on my ankle now I am going to fold it like this once I am done folding I am going to go on and so also that you can see that is where my notches are now make sure you go on and do this to the other side of your other ankle of your fabric and now join your tool crutch together your front scratch on your back rub together like this and sew by half inch and sew by half inch all the way to the bottom now once you don't do windows you can see your pocket okay nice and neat you can see that now next thing is to add your band now we're going to go on and sew all the way like this now once you're done sewing cut off the excess and turn it out now I am going to go on in I own in half inch on this side all the way down all around it's all the way around it now I am done doing that I own half inch in all the way around as you can see now I am just mucking out half inch on my fabric on my pants this way I would be joining the half inch to my band now I will place my bag like this and I will keep placing and so in like this all the way around till I get to the other zipper paths now I am done sewing now make sure where you have your flap is where your extract band two inch is gonna be now fold that in half and so once you don't so in turn it out now we're going to sew all the way like this folding your band on your pants and we're going to show all the way like this all the way around now once we've done what is left it is the hook in high now the hook is going to be here and the eye is going to be here that way your flap hooks the eye and you can go on in zip and it should look nice and neat now as you can see my seam is at the site right where it's supposed to be and this is the finished look of my pants thank you for watching guys please make sure you subscribe let me know if it was helpful and I will see you in my next video
