hi today I'm going to show you how to use the paws pamper slicker brush this is a medium-sized slicker brush can be used on pretty much any sized dog except for a miniature dog with a dog like bear that has a double coat what you want to do is make sure you're getting down right into his skin start brushing so you want to use short strokes and just pull the hair up as you go and this will allow you to get right down put any dead hair that's on the coat now bear has fairly short hair for a golden retriever and any double coated dog that also has short hair you'll be able to actually brush against the grain like this to get some of that excess hair out once you finish that you'd want to turn around and brush with the grain of the hair again now that would be for short-haired double coated dogs if you have a single coated dog like a beagle let's say with short hair you just want to brush with the grain and if you have a dog with really long hair you want to make sure even more to separate that hair picking it up as you go getting down at the skin there's no need to make long brush strokes like this necessarily short strokes work just as well especially if there's a few knots or snarls in the coat then to clean this brush you can use a comb or you can simply just pull the hair out and you want to do that as you go to make sure that you keep it nice and clean so that the pins can effectively brush the dog's coat you can use this everywhere on the dog just be gentle behind their ears down on their chest on their tail you can really use this a universal brush that you can use for just about anything
