Please explain how to sew a ruffle

Here's how to make easy ruffles that
you can use to trim out pillows, curtains and more. First cut a fabric strip. It should be two to three times the width
of what you want the final length to be. You can just rip the fabric to give it a frayed
edge. Set the sewing machine to a long stitch and
sew along the fabric edge. Don't do the normal reverse stitch at the
beginning and the end of the strip. You can use contrasting threads so you know
which one to pull to create the ruffle. If you won't be covering the top edge of the
ruffle, use a matching thread on your spool, and another color on your bobbin. Sew another row of stitches parallel to the
first. Make sure not to cross the other line. This extra line serves as a backup. In case the first thread breaks when you're
pulling it for the ruffle. Pull the bottom or bobbin thread to
gather the ruffle. Pin the ruffle to what you're attaching
it to. And sew into place. [BLANK_AUDIO]
