g'day nigel here from sac school i've finished doing my practice for the day i'm going to pack away my saxophone now so it's really important i give it a clean now i've talked before in a daily tip about doing the neck and the mouthpiece but what about the body of the saxophone and this is a really important thing to remember to do because we've got to keep our saxophone the inside of our saxophone really nice and clean so that it's it's playing in at its best so two things to think about and i think you should do these every day first thing is get yourself a saxophone pull through or a swab it's just a piece of fabric with a long string and a weight at one end but what it does is it makes sure that all the inside of the saxophone is nice and clean so you just pop the weight down the bow pull the cloth through and it cleans out all the gunk on the inside of your saxophone that's the first thing the second thing is have a think about getting yourself a pad saver now what a pad saver does slides down inside the saxophone it draws the moisture away from the pads which helps to keep them in top condition so there's my top tip for today keeping your saxophone clean don't forget to do it you don't know what don't know what's going to be living inside your saxophone so keep it nice and clean hope that helps keep practicing hard don't forget to check out the lessons at sac school and i'll see you next time
