Please explain how to remove and replace a bottom & top sash

thank you for purchasing an mi windows and doors product we hope you find these instructional videos helpful please understand that these videos have been developed to assist the do-it-yourselfer perform minor repairs to their window product these do not supersede any of the manufacturer's written instructions or warnings please refer to our warnings and precautions guide located on our website before attempting any repair in this training session we're going to explain to you how to change a bottom and top sash the tools needed would be a flat screwdriver first thing you would need to do to change this sash is unlock the window and raise the sash up and at this point you would pull in the tilt latches on either side and tilt the window out once the sash is tilted in that it's you have the sash horizontal with the floor you lift up on one side of the sash lifting the pivot bar out of the balance shoe do the same by lifting up on the other side this enables you to lift the sash out of the main frame the top sash you would lower the same procedure pull in on the tilt latches tilting the window in to a horizontal position you would lift up on one side of the window then the other lifting the pivot bar out of the balance shoe that's how you would remove the sashes in the event you need to reposition your coil balance you can do that with a flat screwdriver you would place it into the u-shaped cam by turning that cam a quarter turn you could slide this into position when you have it where you want it you would turn it back to a u-shape this applies the break and will hold it into position to reinstall the top sash you would first place the pivot bar back into the balance shoe and slide it down on this side you need to line it up with the other side once the sash is level till it back into the mainframe making sure your tilt latches lock into place you would do the same thing with the bottom placing the pivot bar into the balance shoe on one side then the other lining it up level and tilting the window in making sure the tilt latches lock into place you would close and lock the window that's how you would change a sash you
