hey my class be here today I'm gonna show you how to make a killer veggie frittata now what is it frittata well the Dems clean of frittata and an omelet because they're very similar they're made with eggs then omelet you fold after you put the stuff inside the frittata you just flip over and it's also cooked very slowly 10 to 15 minutes frittata means to fry in Italian and I'm Italian and I'm gonna fry this stuff look what we got here we're gonna have some egg whites so no cholesterol but there is some cholesterol in this cheese so this is not vegan but this is still good this is hvar Tay and sharp cheddar these are some nice shot the black olives garlic of course salt and pepper olive oil and here's the star of the show and these are garden fresh zucchini and this is a crookneck squash look at that baby these were grown and given to me by my friend Chris she picked them two days ago so you can't get much fresher than that well unless they were picked today so I'm gonna check it out I'm gonna prep all this stuff and next time you see me I'll be at the stove over here there's the beautiful veg this is the crookneck and a zucchini chopped up look how beautiful these are take a look enemy good I've been chewing on those we get the garlic and let's get into the pan right now so a hot pan oh yeah might be a little too hot a little garlic little olive oil roll that coming around a little okay here's the garlic that's nice scenario they sizzle let's let that sizzle for just about a minute and then we'll add the squash okay let's add the squash there you go beautiful green yellow colors this was grown in a local garden picked up a few days ago you could just eat it like this don't have to make up it's out of this this thing is gorgeous I'm gonna let this cook down this is gonna take about four or five minutes we're gonna have some fresh cracked black pepper and some salt the salt will help get the liquid out of these that's enough see how do you get women along until beautiful colors advising flip them around ah smells great I'm gonna say another two three minutes we don't want to lose the crunch look look nice what they do that ones items around I'm gonna pull one up in the stasis I try to cut them all in the same shape so they will cook evenly okay all right perfect okay now I'm gonna add the black olives put a few in here you could have anything to live veggie without mushrooms tomatoes whatever is around the house all right now here comes the egg white okay we're gonna reduce the heat cuz this is slow cook and remember that and we're gonna watch this and then I'm at about five minutes we're gonna add the cheese see how we're doing oh you can take you can see it at the bottom it's getting a little yeah not that solid good time for the cheese remember this is a birthday and cheddar a sharp cheddar the Havarti is very creamy the cheddar of course has the the bite of art a is a mellow cheese so it's a nice combination the rest I'm add just a little more pepper on top no more salt because the cheese has a plenty of salt in it again the difference between frittata and an omelet is we're not gonna fold this we're not gonna fold it we're gonna flip it almost like a like a pancake or even like a crepe but a very thick crepe and you have to be patient with these this is on a low heat and we're gonna cook it like 10 to 15 minutes no a little longer okay this guy's ready to turn let's see ready let's do it oh it's beautiful even though it busted a little my fall I didn't flip it so I have a bad angle here but it's still gonna taste awesome I'm gonna bust it here this one's perfect it was a pretty big frittata well let this guy cook a little all right finally this 3/4 of a frittata is ready I'm gonna plate it and then I'm gonna eat it I'll see over at the table let's see we can get this on the plate there you go nice Lane how it tastes in a second so I just showed you how to make a killer veggie frittata check that baby out nothing's gorgeous kind of a unsuccessful flip but it doesn't affect the taste well at least we hope not let's see hmm the vegetables still have some crunch you can taste the sharpness of the cheese mm-hmm the black olives this is delicious try one let me know what you think till next time these
