to another episode of embroidery hub can anyone guess what we're gonna learn today Yes, you're absolutely right baby bibs and although I look ridiculous with it They're perfect for babies so stick around to find out how to do it Alright, so to embroider these vids we're gonna need two specialty stabilizers That was they're two different functions we're gonna start off with a top topping Which you've probably heard me talk about many times our embroidery hub It's a specialty topping that you're gonna put on top of your embroidery So that your stitches don't sink into the fabric We're gonna need this with textured fabrics such as bathrobes a terry cloth Towels, and since this big has a lot of texture to it We want to make sure that we're using the Aqua top to make sure that our stitches pop out so that's one number two we're going to need our Fusible backing and I'm using off stitch cover stitch backing which is a fusible backing that we add after the embroidery that is going to help with Covering up the stitches on the back as you see here I cover up the stitches and I got a really nice clean finish And this is really important to use it on Children's code things such as one seeds and even the bibs because we don't want the thread and the backing to scratch Or irritate the baby's skin although. We're gonna already use two specialty stabilizers we still going to need our regular stabilizer, so I'm using one sheet of tearaway and I'm hoping it together with my poopsie and All right So I inserted my hoop chose my design picked my colors and the last step after tracing is to put in your aqua top topping Just above your hoop. You don't have to hoop it with it. You can just put it right on top Now all I need to do is make this make sure that the topping clever little areas and press Start All right, so here we have our finished embroidery, but we do not yet have our finished product first I have to remove the Aqua top the backing do some post embroidery cleanup And then I'm going to show you how to do some feasible backing and to get it So now I have my bib cleaned up now I'm just being turned over and we're going to talk about the backing so I Have a piece of my musical backing cut here It is just a little bit larger than the size of my design And I want to talk about the properties of the racking for a minute You're gonna see that one side is a smooth side and then when you turn it over There's a rougher more textured side actually when you hold it up to the light. You'll be able to see a glimmer now That's the side that you're gonna want to place directly on the fabric. That's the side that is the feasible side Now the way it uses is through heat, so I'm gonna use an iron to fuse this onto my garment And you got to make sure that it's on the wool setting which is about 250 degrees Fahrenheit So now I'm I'm placing the rough side flat over my garment And now I'm just gonna go ahead and iron It on and you're gonna see that it quickly Just becomes one with the fabric, and then you have a really nice soft finish That won't irritate the baby skin or whoever wears the bib All right, so here. We have our completely finished product and as you can see this usable backing completely covers the Design, so you have a really nice surface.
