Please explain how to dry clean dress shirts : dry cleaning: pressing dress shirts

What we are doing here is taking the shirt
off of the rail here and we will be pressing the shirt. She is going to start by doing
the collar, making sure it is nice and flat because collars when they are bent over they
kind of get a form to them. Now we are pressing the like lapel part of his shirt, that is
the inside and there is an extra piece of material. We are making sure that all the
button holes are nice and flat. You just repeat the process over and over again until the
shirt looks very presentable to the consumer. Then this is one of our PD uniforms that we
do. It is a polyester cotton blend. It is a fairly simple shirt to press because polyester
doesn't wrinkle that bad. Whatever the customer wants they want, they get if they ask for
creases on their sleeves or no creases we will do that for them and right here we are
going to press the front form of the shirt, bring the head over and we will be steaming
through it. It is just like a big iron. It makes for a little bit faster process for
us. This is a silk press so the difference is, from an iron is it has a pad on it so
you do not have metal to the shirt or pants contact because metal is very harmful on fabrics.
And also on our irons we have a plastic shoe on there so there is no metal to the shirt
or garment. And what we did is we went completely around the shirt and ironed the whole thing,
then we will hang it on the hanger and at our cleaners we always button the first and
third button because it makes it more presentable when it is hanging on the hanger. Double check
and then we hang it off and send it off to assembly.
