now is a little bit industry history for you yeah basically some of you might be young enough to remember like the acid house days like in the 80s and 90s in there but these days actually completely up our industry for a few years because basically what it was was what researchers couldn't really work on Mondays tracer used to come into the yard on Monday mornings they were able to still operate like machinery chainsaws tippers and stuff even drive vehicles but many found it very difficult to tie a bowline especially after taking a whole people vested over the weekend and this carried on for a few years with literally tree odds being dead on a Monday but right they just shut up shop until Tuesday then they were like this but those a guy his name was Phil Witten and he's based in America it was like I've had enough of this well every week I'm losing a day's money because these idiots want to stand in nightclubs all weekend put in bits of paper in their mouths with Homer Simpson drawings on the back and he was like what if I could make it so that they didn't have to tie a bowline on a Monday morning and that's when he invented the spice rope now a spice trope is basically just the same as a normal one apart from it's a little bit spiced up at the end here and I'm gonna demonstrate you exactly how you can do this at home right with a demonstration I'm gonna do it with a two strand rope because like it's a lot more difficult to get the screwdriver into anything more than five or six strand and the only thing you're gonna need is a flathead screwdriver the importance is it is a flathead screwdriver if you start using the Phillips screwdriver to do this light you're basically putting your life in your own hands yeah so look we've got the free strand rope here just what you want to do first off is just put a termination or in here just a simple granny knot will do the trick and then just find the weak point in the rope with the screwdriver and then just Ram it through like that okay and that hole that you made bet that's basically that's where the carabiners gonna go but we've got it all set up now we've got it all going on it's all connected nicely their termination not splices in the carabiner prusik working a dream no just I'm not really too sure what just happened there but I'm probably gonna have to try there again with four strands this price configurations working for sake what can it wasn't supposed to work what am I gonna do now what can my video is
